Dipti Mission (Bihar)
- In the state of Bihar,
42.6% live below the poverty line and 52.5% are illiterate. Support was for a residential childcare program for 125 orphaned
children from the Maltos and Santhal tribes of Bihar, this program provided shelter, housing, medical care and education.
Dipti Mission (Hyderabad)
- Work and learn centre program for 23 teenage girls and 10
teenage boys (all who had previously been at the Dipti Mission in Bihar, this program was established to offer the children
a 2 year trade program to further their eduction. The program included tailoring, secretarial education and mechanical workshop
training.
One Meal Program (Dumkar, Hairpur, Jirwabadi)
- The program provided one
meal a day to approximately 150 children
Kashmir Project
- This project provided relief
aid for victims of the 8 October 2005 earthquake. We provided Hot Water Bottles to the remote villages of Kashmir
Special Olympics
- Funding was provided for a group of 20 Romania athlete's (and their support
team) to attend the 2003 Special Olympics in Dublin
BASE (Bethesda Associates for Social Enlightenment)
- Support provided for the living centre/school for mentally handicapped based in Hyderabad, India
Back
to School Foundation
- This foundation supported children in Romania who due to various circumstances
were unable to reintegrate into the school system. They provided education for approximately 100 children from Grade 1 through
Grade 12.
